Major Caliper Gauges are also commonly known as Plate Thickness Gauges within the industry and are produced in a variety of unique shapes to allow access to restricted or difficult to reach areas, typically measuring wall thicknesses of stampings, castings, forgings and alloy wheels.

All plate thickness gauges are fitted with an indicator clock, these indicator clocks are specially adapted for use with all plate thickness gauges and are calibrated along with the instrument.
Under no circumstances must the indicators be interchanged between instruments as any reading may be inaccurate. All Major Caliper Gauges are made on site in Tyseley Birmingham and produced on receipt of order. Orders are typically despatched within 7 - 10 working days.
